Franchise Development Manager

Livermore, CA

Job Description:

The Franchise Development Manager (FDM) will be responsible for recruitment of qualified Solar and other trade companies within assigned region. The FDM will be responsible for performing meetings, webinars and working with team to close franchise sales. The FDM will perform essential due diligence on prospective candidates to ensure they have the skills, desire and investment criteria to be a successful franchise.

Responsibilities:

  • Grows the brand through the signing of new Franchisees
  • Daily one on one meetings and webinars with potential clients
  • Expectations of 12+ new franchise agreements signed per year
  • Maintains working knowledge of franchising law as it related to day-to-day franchising sales and development
  • Provide operational assistance as needed to ensure smooth operation of new franchises as they come on board.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, MBA preferred
  • Five plus years franchise sales experience
  • Sales to service segment and solar a plus
  • Service segment franchise sales experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to be flexible and effectively work with others as a team
  • Possesses a high degree of drive with a proven track record of achieving results
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills
  • Must be well organized and have the ability to meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environment

Inside Sales Agent

Responsibilities:

  • Work supplied leads with a sense of urgency **no cold calling**
  • Manage your pipeline and drive prospects from lead to close (closing assistance on site if needed)
  • Provide creative suggestions and feedback to sales management to help drive team improvement
  • Maintain a positive attitude, have fun and be a team player
  • Work out of Salesforce.com CRM for all sales activities

Qualifications:

  • Inside Sales Experience preferred
  • Comfortable handling a lead full-cycle from qualifying through closing

Supply Chain Logistics Manager

Livermore, CA

Job Description:

The Supply Chain Logistics Manager will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain and play a key role in providing supply chain, operation and logistical support to our franchise partner network. You will be responsible for assisting in key Supply Chain functions such as materials planning, scheduling and ordering activities associated with the delivery, direct and indirect material purchasing, warehousing; procurement, receipt, disbursement, and inventory control. The Supply Chain Logistics Manager will work closely with our franchise partners to ensure they have a solid understanding of our process and procedures and will be instrumental in driving and meeting established metrics; concurrently build and strengthen our partner relationships.

Essential Functions:

  • Supply Chain, Materials Planning, Scheduling and Logistical support.
  • Implements methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain to achieve cost-effective logistics practices and inventory levels while meeting customer delivery requirements.
  • Identify areas in warehouse and supply chain processes needing improvement and develop plans to make those changes.
  • Coordinate project fulfillment with network partners and internal operations team members to meet established metrics.
  • Ensure network partners follow ordering and logistics processes.
  • Actively review franchise pipeline to ensure projects are being approved, scheduled and shipped in timely manner.
  • Assist team with continuous operational improvement and best practices.
  • Provide best in class service to network partners while meeting company goals and objectives.
  • Create and maintain progress reports as required; including but not limited to shipping and internal/external metrics.
  • Update inventory/warehouse/shipping systems and communicate to staff regarding issues.
  • Work with transportation partner(s) to schedule outbound shipments.
  • Work with the field operations team to arrange transportation and storage of material in emerging franchise markets.
  • Support compliance initiatives and corporate commodity, logistics, and inventory strategies to achieve synergy across the operation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering or business from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Materials or Supply Chain role.
  • 3-5 years of scheduling, planning and logistics experience.
  • Experience with NetSuite required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with MRP and ERP systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
  • Exceptional communication skills; including written and interpersonal.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience developing new processes and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of lean and process improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Customer centric approach to provide value to franchise partners while meeting business goals.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Operations/Project Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a professional, energetic full-time Operations/Project Manager. As the Operations/Project Manager, your primary focus will be to act as a liaison between senior leadership, channel partners, and the Operations team to support our sales staff and ensure our customers are satisfied with our services. You are essentially the glue that holds everything together. Your ability to adapt to the continuously changing nature of the solar industry and move quickly will be your strongest assets. This is a highly visible position and a unique opportunity for a motivated and talented person to contribute to a winning team while also gaining a wealth of exposure to all aspects of Solar Universe’s growing business. You should be able to work independently and coordinate with others, be well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks. You will wear many hats and no two days will be the same.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships across internal departments, as well as with external partners to ensure the consistency and reliability of the end-to-end customer experience.
  • Serve as the last line of defense for escalated customer issues.
  • Build, manage and continuously improve product and process training tools. Train new employees on all operational topics.
  • Manage customer realization metrics and issue feedback/process improvement recommendations to leadership teams.

Director of Franchise Training and Operational Support

Job Description:

The Director of Franchise Training and Operational Support is responsible for knowledge management and transfer across Solar Universe’s franchise network, including the design and execution of training programs; the maintenance of corporate training content; and small business management help for franchise owners.

The ideal candidate is tech savvy, passionate about the solar industry, a fast learner, and wants to be involved in efforts to make our franchisees successful.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and coordinate training activities with subject matter experts
  • Provide feedback against learning objectives; Assess/test to measure knowledge transfer
  • Utilize a variety of the training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs
  • Work with key executives and internal partners to analyze franchisee performance so that additional training can be prescribed and developed
  • Own and manage the company’s knowledge library
  • Assist franchise owners with ongoing training needs
  • Provide franchise owners with small business general management support
  • Ownership and execution of the onboarding program for new franchisees

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver training programs utilizing skills in instructional design, program design development, and training technologies
